Simple & cost-effective transactions with consideration for the environment – that is Burst
Security and control over your money
Burst transactions are secured by military-grade cryptography (Shabal-256). Nobody can take your BURST or make a payment on your behalf. So long as you take the required steps to protect your wallet, Burst can give you control over your money and a strong level of protection against many types of fraud.
Works everywhere – at anytime
Similar to email, you don’t need to ask recipients you’re sending BURST to, to use the same software, wallet or service providers. You just need their Burst address or their Alias to transact with them anytime. The Burst network is always running and never sleeps, even on weekends and holidays.
Fast worldwide payments
Sending BURST across borders is as easy as sending them across the street. There are no banks or brokers to make you wait several business days, no extra fees for making a worldwide transfer and no special limitations on the minimum or maximum amount you can send.
Pick your own fees
There is no fee to receive BURST, and every wallet lets you control which fee you would like to pay when transacting. Fees range from Minimum Required (0.00735 BURST) to Priority Processing. Higher fees like Priority can encourage faster confirmation of your transactions. Fees are unrelated to the amount transferred, so it’s possible to send 100,000 BURST for the same fee it would cost to send 1 BURST.
Mobile payments made easy
When used on a mobile device, Burst allows you to pay with a simple two-step scan-and-pay. There is no need to sign up, swipe your card or sign anything. All that you need to receive Burst payments is to display the QR code in your Burst wallet app and let the other party scan your mobile or touch the two phones together (using NFC radio technology).
Protect your identity
With Burst, there’s no credit card number that malicious actors can collect in order to steal from you. In fact, it’s even possible in some cases to send a payment without revealing your identity, almost like with physical money. You should, however, take note that some effort can be required to protect your privacy.
